Don’t move firewood from where a tree was taken down. If you don’t burn it, leave it. Pests can hitchhike on a piece of wood and spread to a new

area. Even moving one piece of firewood to another place may end up destroying millions of acres of trees. Keep an eye out for damged limbs or trunks in your neighborhood.
