How do we make sure that Michigan’s amazing wildlife will still be here in years to come?
The stamp program is one of the best ways to protect wildlife. The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) uses money from hunting licenses, Federal Duck Stamps, guns and ammunition to protect wildlife habitat such as wetlands for water fowl.
The DNR also sets harvest limits to make sure that waterfowl and other animals are not overhunted and provides educational resources to keep both people and wildlife safe.
By working together, Michigan will continue to be a paradise for hunters, bird watchers, photographers and other nature lovers, as well as the wildlife that makes this state great.
