BACK AT THE NEST

Male and female bald eagles mate for life when they are about 4 or 5 years old. In springtime, the female lays 1 to 3 eggs, each about twice the size of chicken eggs you find at the grocery.
Both the mom and dad eagle sit on the egg until it hatches.
Once babies hatch, they are cared for by both parents.
