Every Drop is Precious

About 20% of the world’s fresh water is right here in Michigan, and that represents about 80% of North America’s fresh water.
Taking care of this water is a big responsibility!
By protecting our water from pollution or waste, well continue to have safe drinking water, beautiful lakes for recreation, and healthy wetlands and streams to provide homes and water for fish and animals.

Singing in the Rain

Install a rain barrel and you can save about 1,300 gallons of water during the peak summer months.

A rain barrel collects and stores rainwater.

You can use that water to water your lawn and garden or wash your car. Rain water is naturally soft water – it doesn’t have minerals, chlorine, fluoride, or other chemicals in it.
